Why Skip Jan 26?

I watch Heroes, Gossip Girl, and How I Met Your Mother on Tuesdays, because they're aired in the US on Mondays. But they skipped January 26 (except for heores which ended it's 3rd volume last Dec 15). Why? Anyone?
